rough sketch brief bio personal faith journey summary to date by way of introduction
with Filipino relatives who are Roman Catholic, having been baptized Methodist, coming to Christ in going forward at an (Baptist?) altar call during the Jesus movement in the 70’s while in elementary school, subsequently growing up in the reformed tradition as a Presbyterian, being exposed to liberal and liberation theologies with an emphasis on social justice as a teenager, coming back to what some consider as more evangelical and conservative/orthodox convictions of Trinitarian faith following involvement with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) during undergraduate studies, rededicating my life to the Lord as an adult at a Billy Graham crusade after college, growing in Christ through men’s ministry with the Navigators, developing further as a man of integrity in the Promise Keepers movement, experiencing the person and work of the Holy Spirit in powerful ways at some charismatic Presbyterian conference retreats, later hearing God’s call out of engineering to seminary and full-time pastoral ministry, i am now what i might term a continuing student of education in the vocation of pastoral ministry and missional theologyÂÂ
